Leadership
Mr J Arokiasamy founded Raj Hatcheries in 1994 and continues to lead the group as Managing Director. He has worked in Indian aquaculture for more than three decades, across successive changes in species, disease pressure and farming practice.
That span matters in a business measured over production cycles rather than single seasons. The protocols described across this site — broodstock screening, water quality management, batch testing and traceability — were built up and refined across those cycles, not adopted wholesale.
The group today operates its main hatchery at Kovalam, Tamil Nadu, in operation since 1994, and a second hatchery at Tajpur, West Bengal, opened in 2014, each with its own technical team, working to the same documented standards.
